Time to #knit with awesome #yarn! (Taken with instagram)
I just started working on this awesomely simple shawl on Sunday and I’m totally loving it already. It’s knit sideways until you have half of your yarn left and then you start your decreases. So simple, so prefect.
I’m knitting it with Tempted, Good Grrl in the Deviant Behaviour colorway (which I bought from The Loopy Ewe). It is super pretty; the perfect blend of purple, cranberry and black. I think it works just right for this pattern. I’m knitting this up for the SSK KAL #4 (knit-a-long), I love that these KALs have given me the opportunity to buy from and support other other indies vending at this retreat. I’m so looking forward to meeting all of them! I only have until the 15th to finish but that shouldn’t be a problem if I find time to work on it everyday.

The Kezia Fingerless Mitts pattern is now available for purchase on Ravelry!!! This amazing pattern is designed by a close friend of mine and all proceeds are being donated to the Fitzgerald Cancer Fund.
This pattern was named for Kezia Fitzgerald and is published in memory of her daughter Saoirse, who on December 13th, 2011 at only 18 months old, lost her battle against Neuroblastoma. Kezia herself is currently in remission from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. You can read Kezia’s blog New Mom…New Cancer to find out more or donate directly.
Won’t you join us for a KAL (knit-a-long) over in my Ravelry group: Another Crafty Girl & Friends? See you there!!

This shawl was a nightmare to knit. The pattern had a number of errors that I won’t get into here but it was quite frustrating and thus I am super happy that it is off the needles and out of my mind for a while. I knit this up with my very own yarn in my Bulbasaur (green) and Chocolate & Caramel (brown) colorways. Blocked out this has a wonderful drape and I know I will get quite a bit of use out of it this Fall.

Call me crazy, but I too have started making little hexagons for The Beekeeper’s Quilt by Tiny Owl Knits. I’ve been playing around with a few design ideas. I’ve decided that my blanket will be mostly shades of gray with some pops of color here and there. I already have one super rainbow blanket in the works and I just wanted this one to be more mellow. I am so in love with it already.

I totally bought this!! Not sure what I’ll make with it, but it’s just so pretty and I’m happy to help out a new indie dyer! :D

Episode 50 – Hateful Cows | TheKnitGirllls
My yarn is mentioned about 20 or so minutes into this amazing knitting podcast. I love these girls. I’ve already gotten 3 sales tonight since they posted this episode. I’m so excited she likes my yarn and for all the exposure.
If you’re a knitter and don’t watch this podcast you totally should because these girls are wonderful! I love seeing all the beautiful projects, handspun fiber and the book reviews.
