A Kid’s Cardboard Arcade is the Most Beautiful Thing You’ll See Today

Caine is nine. And like all the best nine year-olds in the world, Caine is obsessed with video games. In Caine’s case, it’s arcade games, and he’s so obsessed he built himself a giant cardboard arcade. This is the story of Caine’s arcade. If you’ve had a shitty day, or just need something to make you smile, please, watch this.

I found a photo of some mini office supply matchboxes on kootoyoo, and I was enchanted by them. Maybe it’s the dollhouse miniatures series that Rhonda has been working on, or maybe it’s just because I love little things. I knew I wouldn’t be able to find these products at a store near me, so made my own mini office supply matchboxes. I made four different covers: for rubber bands, thumb tacks, paper clips, and gummed reinforcements. I was inspired by a vintage Dennison Gummed Reinforcements box for the last one. Since I made the covers myself, I’m sharing them with you as a printable so you can whip these up in a few minutes.

These are just too adorable, I’ll have to make some!

The project all started with a big, old elm tree located right in the center of camp. Shortly after David and Tereasa purchased Wandawega, Tereasa’s Dad, (Tom) christened the property by hanging a rope swing from one of its branches.
Rest of the story with lots of photos here.

Whether you are a crafter or a sewing fashionista, you will enjoy dyeing buttons. It’s fun and easy to do. Most white buttons are made out of nylon or some type of plastic. Rit is one of the few dyes that will color these materials. That means you can transform ordinary buttons into colorful accents that match or coordinate with whatever you are making.

Another Crafty Girl now has a website! It’s nice and simple right now but with time it will grow and have more and more content.  I’m really excited and I really appreciate everyone’s support as I pursue this new endeavor!
P.S. It’s also a tumblr, so you can follow it if you want to see all the updates! ;)

DIY An Amazing Animal Coat Rack
Sure you could probably use a more traditional hook or pull, but why when you can use that pointy zebra you’ve stepped on 900 times at 3 a.m.?
